Анотація
Стаття присвячена всебічному дослідженню перекладацьких прийомів і стратегій відтворення мовних засобів
експресії сучасного англомовного політичного дискусу на матеріалі політичних промов. Також визначені деякі способи перекладу неологізмів. Охарактизовано деякі лексичні та синтаксичні трансформації, запропоновано шляхи перекладу фразеологізмів. Перекладаючи тексти політичного змісту, перекладач має відтворювати не тільки зміст сказаного, а й емоційне забарвлення виступу. Аналіз перекладів політичної лексики у різних типах політичних текстів, особливо газетних статей, дозволив визначити основні перекладацькі стратегії і тактики.
(This article studies the political lexis in terms of theory and practice of translation. The thesis is dedicated to the comprehensive research of techniques and strategies of rendering the expressive linguistic means of modern English political discourse into Ukrainian. It was found that some translation solutions contain several stylistic modifications. We give some examples of political neologisms and political occasional coinages. It articulates functional differences for diverse groups of political lexis in different political text-types and correlation between the lexical elements of a political text and ways of their translation. While translating political texts, a translator should express not only the message of a text, but speaker’s emotions.
As an object of translation political lexis consists of political terms, political realia and political symbols. Concurrently, we observe an adequate transfer of the author’s ideological positions, argumentative strategies and linguistic world image into another system of signs. According to the content analysis, linguistic pragmatics and rhetorical criteria that together provide a high expressiveness, effective linguistic manipulation of this type of discourse and its perlocutionary effect are
predominantly reflected in the Ukrainian translation.)
