Анотація
Статтю присвячено аналізу анімалістичних символів україномовної та англомовної лінгвокультур. Особливу
увагу авторки зосереджено на мовних структурах, які актуалізують смисл досліджуваних символів. На матеріалі
лексикографічних джерел та міфопоезії проведено порівняльний аналіз слів-реалій та фразеологізмів як мовних репрезентантів анімалістичних символів, спільних для міфологічних уявлень представників досліджуваних лінгвокультур. Співставлення міфологічних реалій та образів фразеологізмів в українській та мовах проведено з урахуванням їх емотивності та асоціацій, що ними викликаються. Увага авторки зосереджена на специфіці реалізації емотивного потенціалу міфологічних анімалістичних реалій та лексем і фразеологізмів, що належать до їх денотативних полів у досліджуваних мовах і лінгвокультурах.
(The article deals with the analysis of the animal symbols of the Ukrainian and English-speaking linguistic cultures. The author pays special attention to the language structures actualizing the meaning of the studied symbols. Such symbols found in myths, legends, fairy-tales and other folklore items are described with different language tools including nation-specific comparisons, metaphors, lexemes forming nation-symbolic worldview of the representatives of different linguistic cultures.
The comparative analysis of the realia and phraseological units language tools representing the animal symbols found both in Ukrainian and English-speaking linguistic cultures has been made on the basis of the mythological beliefs of the representatives of such linguistic cultures. The symbols of bear, wolf, horse, cat, deer, pig, dog and snake have been analyzed according to their emotive perception by the representatives of the studied linguistic cultures reflected in the phraseological units and mythological literature. Special attention has been given to the mythological background of such associations. In conclusion the author emphasizes the importance of the interdisciplinary research in the area of linguo-semiotics and cultural linguistics
for the development of anthropocentricity paradigm in modern linguistics.)
