При порівнянні окремих теорій акторської гри від Просвітництва до сьогодення увагу зосереджено на відношенні їхніх практичних порад до теоретичної складової. Опозиції раціонального та чуттєвого, свідомого та стихійного, внутрішнього та зовнішнього тощо є координатами для формулювання спільного поняттєвого поля, яке не примирює суперечності, а знаходить своє тривання серед їхньої незгоди. (Comparing separate theories of acting from Enlightenment till today the attention is concentrated on relationship of their practical advice to theoretical constituent. The reflections by Denis Diderot, Friedrich Schiller, K.S.Stanislavs 'ky, BertoldBrecht, Antonin Artaud andKeti Chuhrov talk differently about the same thing: how actor's being is unfolding on stage, what are the effective tools that form these or that method of playing. They all search for the solution to the main uniting question: the right way to be on stage and exactly to be on stage natural. Various approaches suggest various formulas: level of control, mode of distance or coexisting with the material, mechanisms of embodiment the given image. Asking for the nature of human being, trying to find the receipt to it possible reproducing, actor's activity proceeds from the connection between the Kant's differentiation of ethics and aesthetics. The Friedrich Schiller's theory is drawn up directly on the concept ofmorally beautiful person, artistic method of Moscow Art Theatre constantly returns to the notion of personality and necessity of its developing. Ethical orientation is openly acknowledged in the Brecht's "epic theatre". Examination of all the views helps the phenomenon to appear more complete. Outlining of some features of contemporary situation demonstrates the removal of the dilemma or rather its reformulation, accomplishing the mimesis by corporal affect that provokes unconscious idealization. Nevertheless it does not eliminate the territory of actor's realization, occurring between his own being and his supposed potentiality, given aspiration to the Other. Oppositions of rational and sensory, conscious and spontaneous, inner and outer etc. are meanwhile coordinates for formulation of their common conceptual field that does not reconcile the contradictions, but finds out its existence among their discrepancy.)
