Анотація
У статті здійснено аналіз термінів «граматикалізація», «суб’єктивація», «суб’єктивність» і розглянуто розвиток та становлення структурно-семантичних особливостей рейзингових конструкцій з підметом на прикладі рейзингового дієслова seem в історії англійської мови. Прикладом процесу суб’єктивації слугують рейзингові конструкції з підметом. У процесі суб’єктивації рейзингові дієслова набувають модального значення евіденційності. Регулярне використання рейзингових конструкцій з підметом спостерігається лише наприкінці середньоанглійського періоду, а в ранньоновоанглійській мові відбувається їх остаточне становлення.
(The article deals with the terms «grammaticalization», «subjectification» and «subjectivity». Grammaticalization is
viewed as a historical process of language change and includes such process as subjectification. Subjectification is an important mechanism of grammaticalization. Examples of subjectification include epistemic modal verbs, concessives, focus markers and raising structures.
Thus, the article is devoted to studying the emergence of the subject raising structures in the history of the English language. The aim of the article is to investigate the process of subjectification of the subject raising structures. Subject raising structure is the structure with the type of movement operation when the argument is raised out of a lower clause to become the subject of a higher clause. In the process of subjectification raising verbs receive modal meaning of evidence. Taken in consideration semantics and structure of the subject raising structures it becomes evident that they emerge and are regularly
used at the end of the Middle English period and their final formation takes place during the Early Modern English period.)
