Анотація

Ідеалістичне бачення історії притаманне не тільки середньовічній схоластиці чи німецькій класичній філософії. Прагнучи запропонувати об'єктивний образ історії, засновник німецької історичної школи Л. фон Ранке продовжував вірити у божественне провидіння, а його послідовник Г. Дрой-зен був переконаний, що невід'ємним елементом історичної реальності є вище духовне начало. Віра в органічну єдність і когерентність історичного процесу збереглася в працях історицистів аж до початку ХХ століття. Криза історицизму на початку ХХ ст. - не стільки наслідок його внутрішніх теоретичних проблем, скільки результат невідповідності його ідейних постулатів до конкретної історичної ситуації Німеччини у 1920-х рр.
(The idealistic vision of history is inherent not only to the medieval scholasticism or German classical philosophy. In attempt to present objective history ("history as it is") the father-founder of academic history L. von Ranke continued to employ the concept of divine providence. Similarly, J. G. Droysen believed that the higher spiritual power is a crucial element of the historical reality. Unity and coherency of history remained the important elements of historicistparadigm till the early 20th century. The crisis of historicism came rather as a result its inability to respond to the challenges of the historical situation of Germany in the 1920th rather because of its inner theoretical incongruities.)
