Abstract

Амбівалентність «внутрішнього» і «зовнішнього», як набору властивостей та якостей, яких очікують від чоловіків та жінок, репрезентуючись у множину «нестабільних» дискурсів класичної філософії, і сьогодні базується на принципах онтологічного дуалізму. Парадоксально, проте, «інтернальна» за своєю фізіологічною природою жінка у різні культурні епохи набуває цінності, які визначаються головним чином своїми зовнішніми властивостями та якостями. (Ambiguity of the «inner» and the «outer» as sets of qualities and properties which are considered feminine or masculine is represented in many unstable discourses of classical philosophy. Nowadays it is still based on the principles of binary oppositions, which lie at the basis of the traditional metaphysical theory. The opposition «I /. the Other», which occupies a new place in the classical philosophy, is synonymous the opposition «Man/Woman» and inherent in the opposition «Soul / Body». The latter determines woman as being «natural» and «outer», in all her manifestations, her corporal ones included. As the postmodern philosophy treats culture as a text, the impetus for the analysis of woman’s representations in histories of gender is immense and productive with the unchangeable focus on the issue of woman’s subversion even in the description of man’s idealistic image which is achieved thanks to the subversion of woman. The «unstable» nature of woman is accounted for the unstable character of the discourse itself, hence that significance which is attached to the processes of «encoding» and «decoding». We live in the society of cultural forms which are constantly and continuously in the state of transformations; the internal clangs are worth while mentioning the concern appearances of women in different histori-cal epochs; their looks are closely connected with the clothes they are wearing with the gender accessories and details of clothing. The peculiarities of styles in clothing are also closely linked with the discourses and narratives (the blue stocking and such like). Nowadays the «unisex» fashion having been common for decades is connected with the discourses of androgynes, womanwarriors, etc, and it is reflected in the pop-cultural «histories». In the culture where of paramount importance is woman’s longing be «beautiful», the inner world of woman, her «soul» has little value, if any, compared with her outward properties which are represented visually in a great number of cultural «Texts» of postmodernity.)
