Анотація

У статті досліджено інтермедіальність роману братів Ґонкурів «Манетта Саломон», простежено взаємозв’язок літератури та живопису в епоху середини ХІХ століття, коли обидва види мистецтва шукали засобів оновлення. Типологія екфрастичних описів засвідчує, що письменники шукали вербальних засобів для вираження візуальних картин, як реальних, так і уявних. Терміни живопису насичують смислову структуру, вживаються як для означення живописних жанрів, так і власне літературних (ескіз, акварель, колаж). Численні ремінісценції на твори
відомих художників, роздуми над естетичними пріоритетами, пошуки і фіксація нової техніки перетворюють роман на живописний, тобто живописні референції входять у вербальний текст імпліцитно, впливаючи на жанрову, композиційну структуру та витворюють неповторний живописний стиль, «артистичне письмо» Ґонкурів.
(This article deals with the study on intermediality of the Goncourt brothers’ novel «Manette Salomon», there is retraced a correlation between literature and art in the epoch of the mid-nineteenth century, when both kinds of art searched for the means of renewal. The Goncourt brothers created the novel about art, in which artworks were the subject of depiction. The typology of ekphrastic descriptions testified that the writers were looking for verbal means to express visual pictures, both real and imaginary. Terms of painting saturate the semantic structure and are used both for the definition of painting genres and literary ones (sketch, watercolor, collage). Ekphrases of the Goncourt brothers play an important role in the plot-compositional construction of the novel, the expression of the visual artifacts unfolds the single line of the plot, creates dialogism of the narrative. Numerous allusions to the works of famous artists, reflections on aesthetic priorities, searching and fixing of new techniques transform the novel into a painting, that is to say, pictorial references enter the verbal text implicitly influencing the genre, compositional structure and creating the unique painting style, «artistic writing» of the Goncourt brothers.)
