Abstract

У статті здійснено огляд українського релігійного періодичного видання УАПЦ в Екзилі «Життя і Церква», що виходило у 1956–1967 рр. в США. Розкрито його значення як джерела до вивчення діяльності УАПЦ в Екзилі, охарактеризовано інформативний потенціал, проаналізовано жанрову специфіку, визначено актуальні проблеми, висвітлені на сторінках цього часопису. Встановлено значення журналу для дослідження релігійно-церковного життя українців у США в 50–60-х рр. ХХ ст.
(The article is devoted to analyzing the main idea and structure of the Ukrainian religious journal Life and Church. This journal was published by Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church in Exile in 1956–1967 in the USA. The journal Life and Church was edited by S. KindzeriavyPastukhiv.
It is very value as a source for studying history and activity of UAOC in Exile. The journal consists of documentary materials by UAOC in Exile, arhiepiscop’s reports and appeals, chronicle’s of church life, theological article’s ect.
The author highlights the heading of this journal, describes informing potential of Life and Church and its role for popularization of UAOC in Exile, analyses the subjects of its articles. At the same time, in the article pay attention for internal existence of UAOC in Exile in the period of
its becoming in new emigrant environment. The author pays attention for its value for research the religious situation between Ukrainians in the USA in the second half of XX century.)
