У статті автор характеризує поняття волонтаризму, окреслює його основні критерії та принципи. Підкреслюється важливість волонтаріату як суспільного явища у розвиненому гуманному демократичному суспільстві.
(The author defines the concept of volunteerism, its main criteria and principles. The importance o f volunteerism as social phenomenon in a developed human democratic society is being emphasized in the article.)
