Abstract

Стаття присвячена поняттю «утопія» та феномену утопічного у його соціально-філософському зрізі. Автор простежує етимологію зазначеного концепту, його семантику, неоднозначність якої корелює з амбівалентністю феномену утопічного, що знаходить своє вираження у двох вимірах, одночасно притаманних кожній утопічній побудові: емансипаторному та авторитарному. (The article is devoted to the problem of utopian thought and the phenomenon of utopia. In the article it is analyzed genesis of the concept ‘utopia’, its polysemy and ambiguity. The author considers, that ambivalence of the utopian is directly related to the ambiguity of the concept ‘utopia’, its light side – ‘eu-topia’ (it means on ancient greek ‘good place’) and its dark side – ‘ou-topia’ (means ‘no-place’). The author emphasized the differences between religion and utopia on the one hand and between utopia and myth on the other. In contrast to myth utopia is willfully and deliberately created project, which has its creator. Sharp distinctions between religion and utopia are in relation to the world: in contrast to religion, which doubles the world and splits it into this-world and other-world, utopia concerns this world only, which serves as point of application of its efforts to actively improve social and political order.)
