Анотація

Відтворення іспанської нецензурної лексики українською мовою, Марховська А.Ю. У даній статті розглядаються шляхи відтворення іспанської обсценної лексики українською мовою. Для цього було здійснено аналіз функціонування відповідного прошарку лексики у системах іспанської та української мов. Матеріалом цієї наукової розвідки слугує роман К. Ріко-Годой «Бути жінкою і не померти, намагаючись залишитись нею» і його переклад українською мовою.
(The ways of translating Spanish obscene words into Ukrainian, Markhovska A.Y. The following article is aimed to outline the most common and appropriate ways of translating Spanish obscene words and expressions into Ukrainian language. For this purpose there has been conducted an analysis focusing on the main functions of obscene words and expressions in Spanish
and in Ukrainian. There have been given various definitions and classification paradigms of obscene words and phrases, according to Ukrainian, Spanish and Russian researchers. The article «The ways of translating Spanish obscene words into Ukrainian» is aimed to represent the general trends of use of obscene words and expressions in daily life, as well as the peculiarities
of certain obscene words and phrases, that are normally being used in spoken Spanish. This investigation is based
upon C. Rico Godoy’s novel «Cómo ser mujer y no morir en el intento» (1990) and its translation into Ukrainian (2011). This analysis shows that the Spaniards are traditionally more prone to swearing, comparing with the Ukrainians, which is, however, generally not considered socially unacceptable behavior of any kind. Ukrainians, in their turn, tend to use less emotionally
intense, if not neutral, words and set phrases. It is quite true that the above exposed situation may represent a problem when translating Spanish contemporary literary pieces into Ukrainian, since the trends of using strong language in Spanish and in Ukrainian slightly differ. It is, in its turn, an extremely interesting, creative and challenging task.)
