Abstract
У статті йдеться про засоби збагачення лексичного фонду сучасних україномовних ЗМІ. Детально аналізуємо один із них: переносне вживання слів, що традиційно функціонують у царинах культури, науки, виробництва, техніки тощо. Ана- ліз здійснюємо на лінгвальному матеріалі медичної, побутової, військової, культурної, дорожньо-транспортної галузей. (It is pointed out the ways of enlarging the specific vocabulary of the current Ukrainian mass media. It is given the precise analysis of the figurative meaning of the words that are commonly used in culture, science, production, technology etc. The analysis is based on the lexics from medical, military, household, cultural, traffic-transport spheres of usage.)
