Анотація
У статті розглядаються проблеми місця та ролі універсальних цінностей у глобалізованому світі. Досліджено співвідношення понять модерне, постмодерне, метафізичне, постметафізичне, універсальне, раціональне.
Основна увага статті присвячена проблемі збереження раціональності в постмодерну постметафізичну епоху. На прикладі робіт Юргена Габермаса, одного з найвідоміших апологетів модерної філософії, досліджується місце та роль розуму й релігії в секулярному суспільстві. Досліджучи питання щодо можливості єдиної та універсальної моралі в сучасному полікультурному світі, доходить висновку, що саме мова і мовлення є засобом досягнення взаємопорозуміння, що дозволяє поєднати єдине та множинне, індивідуальне
та універсальне.
(The aim of the article is to examine the connections between modern and postmodern philosophy (analyzing the
works of Jürgen Habermas). The author claims that these philosophies may be compared on the ground of views on
the role of reason, rationality and metaphysics in the questions of ethics. To clarify controversial statements of two traditions, author, following Jurgen Habermas’ terminology, analyzes the grounds of postmodern ethics and analyzes the role of rationality and discourse in nowadays secular age. For postmodern critics of modern philosophy rationality appears to be the way of thinking, which tends to some universality and unity, something which tries to eliminate differences. Author claims that language is something, which keeps rationality and doesn’t eliminate plurality. A key idea of the text is that the grounds of morality are not rational, as it is based on the human tendency to cooperation, and its reasons cannot be explained in rational way. (Such tendencies are in the core of religion) But it is language and rationality, which gives an opportunity to overcome some misunderstandings and conflicts.)
