Abstract

government
bureaucracy,
lack of funding in business, problems with
finding qualified
personnel,
lack of both government support and self-confidence
as key barriers to business success. The data, obtained from the
survey among 1000 Ukrainian business women, demonstrated
three obvious obstacles. The first obstacle was considered to be
government bureaucracy and lack of its support, another barrier
was

and
the
third one dealt with such personal feature as self-assurance.
Communicative trait of women-entrepreneurs was recognized as a
key advantage. matter. It’s interesting that businessladies enjoyed
running their own businesses in spite of the challenges. They find
it very difficult at times but do not regret the choice they made to
open the business. The Ukrainian women who participated in this
project mainly represented trade and services, which are usually
micro or small businesses in the country. The results of the study
revealed statistically significant factors that can inform effective
policy making in Ukraine and support business women from different
regions
of
the
country.
