Анотація

У статті робиться спроба проаналізувати доброчинну
діяльність жінок в сфері надання допомоги військовослуж-
бовцям в період Першої світової війни. Висвітлено благодійність різних соціальних та вікових груп, наведено види та приклади жіночої допомоги армії.
(The article attempts to analyze women’s charity in providing assistance to soldiers during the First World War. The goal of this research work is to analyze women’s charity work (committees and representatives of the private philanthropist) to help soldiers during the First World War.
World War (1914 – February 1917) put on the shoulder a
heavy burden of women, mass mobilization of women, lack of funds from the state for equipment, food and drugs led to unite women to provide affordable assistance of the fatherland. Traditionally not remain aloof from the problems in providing assistance to the military representatives of the royal family. By charities ruling family owned Sea charitable society headed by the Grand Duchess Alexandra, Committee of Grand Duchess Maria Pavlovna clothing to ensure lower ranks, who were returning home from medical institutions. Charity among wealthy segment of society has gained new momentum, here comes to the fore charitable activities of women from families Tereshchenko, Khanenko, Uvarov and Urusov. Referring to the activities of ordinary citizens of, they acted as members of organizations or as private zhertvodavytsi. As part of societies ladies helped in fundraising, sewing clothes, selling
posters and flowers. So, based on the materials we can conclude that the charitable activities were involved in all social strata of the female population regardless of income, occupation, education and age.)
