Abstract

Стаття присвячена інтелігенції як соціальній верстві, специфічній для Центральної та Східної Європи. Автор простежує трансформації польської інтелігенції в контексті різного суспільного ладу впродовж ХІХ-ХХІ ст. (у період поділів Польщі, у міжвоєнному двадцятиріччі, у період ПНР, а також після суспільної трансформації 1989 р.) і відзначає зміни функцій, які ця верства виконує у нових реаліях.
(The paper focuses on the intelligentsia as the status class which is specific to Central and Eastern Europe. The author traces transformations o f the Polish
intelligentsia under different social rules throughout the 19th to 21st century (in the period o f Partitions, in the interwar period, in the Polish People ’Republic and after the 1989 social transformation) drawing attention to the changes of functions performed by this status class in the new realities.)
