Abstract

У статті увагу зосереджено на взаємозв’язок перекладацьких стратегій з творчим профілем майбутнього перекладача. У роботі обґрунтовано психологічні особливості креативної природи перекладу. У дослідженні емпірично підтверджено твердження про кореляцію особистісних рис майбутнього перекладача з застосуванням перекладацьких стратегій. Виділено групи досліджуваних із переважанням комбінаторних стратегій, із домінуванням
стратегій аналогізування та з переважанням реконструктивних технік. Результати емпіричного дослідження із застосуванням трьох факторів Кетела засвідчили міцні кореляційні зв’язки між особистісними рисами перекладачів та ступенем індивідуальної креативності.
(The paper focuses on the relationship between translation strategies and creative profi le of future translators. The research generalizes psycholinguistic peculiarities of a creative nature of future translators. The research empirically verifi es the study about the relations of translators’ personality traits with the creative translation strategies. Individual creativity
is viewed to be the key element of translators’ creativity realization. As a result of paper research the translation strategies applied, three groups of future translators were outlined – ‘combining strategy group’, ‘analogical strategy group’ and ‘reconstructing strategy group’. The empirical research results based on three of Cattel’s personality factors showed high correlation indices between translators’ personality traits and their literary translation creativity. Following Catell’s personality factor model there were three basic factors for future translators that included emotional stability, reasoning and liveliness. Factor analysis indicated that translators’ personal traits correlate with the variety of translating transformations.
‘Combining strategy group’ of future translators were less emotional, ‘analogical strategy group’ had higher indices of verbal intelligence and abstract thinking. Reconstructing strategy group represented positive correlation with Catell’s liveliness personality factor.)
