Abstract

The present article deals with the findings of probes into the psychological resilience resources of the Ukrainian emigrant writer Wira Wowk, elucidated through the analysis of her poetry collection “Mandala”. The examination of psychological resilience resources adopts an Orff approach and incorporates the principles of Gestalt psychology. Accordingly, these resources are construed as an individual’s readiness and capacity to restore personal integrity in a measured manner, facilitating subsequent harmonious engagement with the world. The employed narrative analysis proves to be helpful in the process of discerning the psychological resilience resources within the author’s work guided by an algorithm designed to surmount impediments to the attainment of internal balance. This algorithm, rooted in the activation of emotional, volitional, intellectual, spiritual, moral, and creative resources, is aligned with the principles of the Orff approach integration concept. The study’s outcomes confirm the presence of psychological resources conducive to balance in the collection, underscoring the author’s stability, along with the identification of compensatory elements addressing any prevailing imbalance.
