Анотація

У статті на основі ґрунтовного порівняльного аналізу філософських інтенцій Я. Ковельського з концепціями діячів вітчизняного та європейського Просвітництва проаналізовано місце і роль Я. П. Козельського у розробці питань предмета, структури, соціально-культурного призначення філософії як "науки випробування причин істин", з'ясовано її співвідношення з наукою та теологією.
(In this article the significant place belongs to the definition Kozelsky's approaches to the subject and specificity of the philosophy comparably of it's estimated on the existing definition, picking out the formal features that distinguish philosophy from all other spheres of human knowledge. Considering the existing system of knowledge, thinker expressed his vision of relationship between philosophy and theology, asserting a right to their autonomy. Philosophy, according to Yakiv Kozelsky, is "the science of tesingt the truth", which he understood "as a thing and a work". Since there was the differentiation of Science, the philosopher deemed that only "general knowledge of things and of human affairs" belong to the philosophy. Like other thinkers of the XVIII century, Y.Kozelsky divided the philosophy into theoretical - they are logic and metaphysics (ontology and psychology) and practical - jurisprudence (issues of morality and law) and politics.)
