Анотація
Статтю присвячено концептуальній картині світу та особливостям її індивідуальної об’єктивації в комунікативному процесі. Дослідження виконано на матеріалі англомовних діалогів телесеріалу «Еlementary».
(The article deals with the conceptual picture of the world and with the singularities of its individual objectivization in the communicative process. The research has been made on the basis of English dialogues from the television series ‘Elementary’.
The problem of picture of the world is one of the most popular modern linguistic research directions. Nevertheless, previous studies of native and foreign researches have shown that the issue of its mental and verbal representation patterns still remains
controversial in academic circles. This determined the vector of our study. The theoretical part of the article is dedicated to the analysis and comparison of the notions of worldview, conceptual worldview and linguistic picture of the world, their peculiarities,
structure, the character of their forming and the level of their interaction. The difference between these terms is stressed.
The notions of concepts, their structure, features, classification and correlation with units of language are also examined. The
practical part of our study includes the analysis of the communicative practice of the main hero of the television series ‘Elementary’.
Much attention is given to the peculiarities of the verbalization of the concepts that reflect his individual picture of the world. His accentuated linguistic personality provided unique linguistic material for our work and defined its scientific novelty.
The following conclusions of our study are drawn: individual worldview has a great impact on individual communicative process. The analysis of the communicative practice of our hero showed prevalence of some cognitive constructs (OBSERVA-)TION, METHODICALNESS, SENSE, CRIME, INFORMATION, HUMAN), what proves his distinctive conceptualization of the reality in view of his detailed and broad picture of the world. The results of the study can be applied to further linguistic researches on the issue of worldview and the lingual and cognitive parameters of its verbalization.)
