Анотація
У статті розглянуто погрозу як особливу форму мовленнєвої поведінки, проаналізовано її сутність і природу,
охарактеризовано основні типи погрози, їх засоби і форми вираження. Значне місце займають характеристики
риторичного питання як особливої форми вираження імпліцитної погрози.
(The article is devoted to the analysis of threat as a speech phenomenon which represents the special form of speech behavior. The special interest for forensic linguistics presents the variety of methods and facilities of threat expression, specific structure of threat and also close combination of emotional and rational components of threat. The article illustrates a concept «threat» and its basic signs, the essence of threat and its main types (implicit and explicit). Much attention is paid
to the facilities of expression of implicit threat which is indirectly conveyed and not openly stated. The implicit model of threat represents a special case, when menace meaning is incomplete. The main means of implicit threat are euphemisms or euphemistic constructions, modified phraseological units, incomplete sentences, verbs that change or exaggerate a corresponding value.
An overview of rhetorical question as a special expression form of implicit threat has been presented. The marked
descriptions of rhetorical question testify that the implicit threat expounded in form rhetorical question has high expressive potential. The essence of this syntactic figure consists in disparity of manner and matter; it is a figure of speech in the form of a question posed for its persuasive effect without the expectation of a reply. A form of rhetorical question is the powerful
means of expression of implicit threat, as has large potential of influence on an addressee. A few general remarks are given to the modal particles that assist the rhetorical effect; furthermore they highlight the sentence focus.)
