Анотація
У статті досліджуються особливості функціонування англоамериканізму лайк, що є неологізмом в українській
та російській мовах початку ХХІ століття як результат мовних контактів. Охарактеризовано спільні та відмінні
ознаки стосовно графічної адаптації та граматичної акомодації, а також семантичної структури запозичень у двох мовах. Виявлено стилістичні функції неологізму. Визначено доцільність використання англамериканізму та його статус у близькоспоріднених мовах-реципієнтах.

(The process of neologisation of the Ukrainian and Russian languages is the most actual problem of up-to-date linguistics.
The problem of the usage of the neologisms in two cognate languages is not researched enough. Most of the linguists
are engaged in research on the new words in one language that caused the actuality of the paper. The modern Russian and Ukrainian languages are filled up with neologisms from the English language especially its American variant. The process of the neologisation in two cognate languages is connected with linguistic contacts. It represents the requirements of the modern society. The article deals with the peculiarities of the usage of angloamericanism like that is the neologism in the Ukrainian and Russian languages at the beginning of the 21st century as a result of linguistic contacts. The loan is researched according
to its graphic adaptation, grammatical accomodation and semantic structure. The stylistic functions of the neologism are shown. Expediency of its usage and its status in the language-recipients is determined. The thesis analyses the peculiarities of the accommodation of the angloamericanisms in the languages mentioned above. The common and different peculiarities of the accommodation of the new word in the Ukrainian and Russian languages are shown. The peculiarities of the functioning of the neologism like in two cognate languages are different because of the different conditions of their development. The thesis suggests a new approach to the study of the features of the loans as language universals in the Ukrainian and Russian
languages according to the process of language contacts at the beginning of the 21th century. The paper introduces the methodology for comparing the English and American loans in the Ukrainian and Russian languages.)
