Анотація
Стаття присвячена порівняльному розгляду понять функціональний стиль і дискурс. Розглядаються основні
підходи до трактування цих понять в сучасній лінгвістичній науці, аналізуються їх властивості. У статті демонструються принципові відмінності і спільні риси понять функціональний стиль, дискурс; проводиться порівняльний аналіз лінгвістичних теорій, спрямованих на диференціацію понять стилю і дискурсу. Відмічається, що функціональний стиль і дискурс методологічно близькі, але мають різні категорії, закономірності виділення та принципи систематизації.
(The article deals with the concepts of functional style and discourse. The main approaches to the interpretation of these concepts in modern linguistic science and their properties are analyzed. The article demonstrates the fundamental differences and similarities between the concepts of functional style and discourse; a comparative analysis of linguistic theories aimed at
differentiating the concepts of style and discourse is held. Basic characteristics that allow to differentiate between functional style and discourse are offered. The main difference between the notions functional style and discourse lies in the fact that the functional style is associated with a form of social consciousness while discourse – with a certain social formation and
ideology. Functional stylistics studies the text in its statics, exploring the principles of its construction, the verbal content and composition. Discourse analysis aims at studying the text in its dynamics, trying to explain the text in its connection with historical, social, cultural aspects of its creation. Both functional stylistics and discourse analysis examine the text in view
of extralinguistic factors. The stylistic and discursive analysis complement each other, allowing to examine the linguistic phenomenon in static and dynamic aspects.)
