Abstract

У статті розкривається ставлення до аскетичності двох
протилежних сторін: жінки та чоловіка (на прикладі Аврелія
Августина та Флорії Емілії). Показано, як між ними розвивається
нездоланний
конфлікт,
оскільки уособлюють дві різні
епохи – античність та середньовіччя. Порівнюються їхні погляди
і прагнення та
засоби,
якими вони
висловлюються. (The article detects attitude towards asceticism from two opposite
sides: man and woman (Aurelius Augustin and Floria Emilia are as
examples). The article reveals the development of compelling conflict
between them, as they personify two different periods – the antiquity
and the middle Ages. The article makes a comparison between their
outlooks, aspirations and means by which they are expressed)
