Анотація
У статті проаналізовано мовні одиниці біблійного походження, які стали крилатими висловами,
на структурному та семантичному рівнях.
(Nowadays, studying the lexical structure of the Ukrainian language refers to the actual problems of
modern linguistics. In Ukraine the researches are conducted in several areas in the field of historical lexicology, including the language study of sights that is a priority interest. The Bible is not only holy book for believers which have come to us from ancient times, but also one of the oldest and most valuable sights of
world culture. The influence of the Bible at the languages of the world, including the Ukrainian is very important.
These are single words, combination of words and sentences that are used as established language
units – idioms. That’s why the aim of our research is to analyze idioms of the Bible origin in the structural
and semantic level.
Among structures that traditionally belong to the class of idioms, there are several structural groups,
namely the words of generalized metaphorical use, collocation, sentences – simple and complex, complicated
type structures – deployed quotes that highlighted in the text.
The analysis of factual material has revealed that 272 linguistic units by genetic classification – quotes
and images from the «Old» and «New» Testaments; according to the stylistic aspect they are idioms of literary
nature; according to the semantic classification, analyzed language units are phraseological units; by
the grammatical forms and semantic features 127 combinations of words are phraseologisms and 79 phraseological units with the structure of sentences – idioms; by the linguistic analysis in terms of synchronous – phraseological units, organized on the model of phrases and phraseological units are phrases, with theт organization of simple or complex sentences.
Overall, the research contributes a deeper understanding of the systemic organization of lexicon, and his
results will facilitate further development of the lexical and thematic groups’ theory.)
