Анотація

У статті зроблено спробу розглянути функції перифраз та евфемізмів, що виступають засобом експресивної,
оцінної й коректної комунікації у сучасному російськомовному публіцистичному тексті.
(Journalistic style as the most common and popular considerably stands out among the other styles to its versatility, the broadest theme, using a variety of linguistic resources. The severity of the statements, polemical, open, direct evaluative – traits of not only the journalistic genre, but here they are trailblazing, without them there can be journalistic work. Journalistic
style serves the sphere of mass communication – journalistic text serves as a communication tool. So, before the author is an important communicative task – to find the means to the reader. Periphrasis and euphemisms are widely used in modern journalistic texts. They allow author to speak tactfully express thoughts properly, avoiding the rough, obscene words and expressions in various spheres of human activity – political, economic, social and domestic, cultural and others. The presence
of periphrasis and euphemisms reveals the author’s personality, creative thinking, and sends it to assess the attitude to the represented, makes the text expressive, emotional, helps avoid standardness. The article considers with periphrasis of two
types – original and traditional. Euphemisms are analyzed as a kind of periphrase. Highlighted and commented three groups of euphemisms: the common, class and professional, family and household.)
