Анотація

У діахронічному зрізі розглянуто вербальну складову у прийомах створення комічного ефекту у традиційній анімації. Описані перші спроби аніматорів підключити вербальний ряд до візуальних прийомів гумору, та проаналізовано їх застосування у сучасних англомовних повнометражних анімаційних комедіях.
(An animated film was originally seen as a simplified product aiming to astonish the audience, but with the course of time, it changed into a separate artistic form of universal significance with its particular expressive means. Samples of modern fulllength animation proved to own not only visuality as their major inherent feature but they also demonstrate dynamism, interactivity
and intertextuality, and are of a great interest in terms of the verbal information transmission. Being influenced by commercial factors and having comic component as the inner property of its lexicon contemporary animation reveals itself mostly in a comedy genre. The humor techniques that are being used nowadays go far beyond visual gags only. Comic effect is achieved
not only on the level of a situation or a gag but mainly by using the potential of verbal means and their interaction with visual range. Verbal humor is produced by the mechanism of language play, which is provided by the whole arsenal of linguistic and stylistic means on all text levels. Seeking to better understand the functioning of verbal humor techniques in modern full-length animated comedies it is important to highlight the evolution and operation of verbal humor throughout the history of animation.)
