Анотація

У статті досліджуються аспекти, котрі виокремлюються в концепції самості Дж. Г. Міда. Структурний
аспект розкривається шляхом співвіднесення компонентів «I» та «me», які вступають у діалог між собою;
практичний окреслюється у зв’язку зі з’ясуванням механізмів організації соціального досвіду; генетичний висвітлюється завдяки розгляду етапів онтогенетичного розвитку дитини в процесі взаємодій із іншими.
(The author identifi es structural elements of self in Mead’s conception, namely the «I» and «me». According to Mead, the «me» means a self-conscious attitude toward the «I» as immediate stream of thought and necessary presupposition for any cognitive images. The term «I» is not properly explicated by Mead, that’s why there are different interpretations of it. It could be understood as the response itself (a social behaviorist interpretation) or something which is responsible
for the response («remedial» and «residual» interpretations). Practical and genetic aspects of Mead’s conception concerned symbolically mediated forms of activity such as conversation, play, and game. The fi rst aspect deals with the mechanisms of organization of social experience that establish frames for interactions in everyday life. It is mentioned that inner and outer conversation of signifi cant symbols is supported by understanding of meanings. In the view of
Mead, cognitive ability to role-taking is a necessary condition for receiving socially relevant knowledge and knowledge about the world. The second aspect focused on stages of child’s ontogenetic development through which self and selfconsciousness are formed. Mead argues that human begins to understand own messages and common symbolic context by means of vocal gestures. In his opinion, a child receives skills to organize different stimuli into a sequence of roles at the stage of play and understands the signifi cance of own role in the perspective of generalized other at the stage of
game. As a result we get conceptual basis for justifi cation of intersubjective constitution, existence, and development of the self; the scheme of internalization clarifying the inner structure of self, wherein the «I» speaks and the «me» hears.)
