Анотація

Результатом проведеного аналізу дієслівної термінолексики англійської мови на матеріалі літератури з фінансової справи стало виявлення термінологічно-номінативного потенціалу загальновживаних дієслів в межах досліджуваної терміносистеми. Авторами здійснено кількісну обробку дієслівного термінологічного корпусу фінансової галузі англійської мови за показником відсоткового співвідношення.
(The detection of the terminologically nominative potential of commonly used English verbs within the investigated term system became the result of the accomplished analysis of the English verbal terms based on the professional financial literature. The calculation of the verbal terms within English financial sublanguage with the percentage index was realized by the authors. The investigation of factual material, analysis of terminological units recorded in professional dictionaries and in the works of the scientific genre of English literature on financial business provide grounds for conclusions about the grammatical heterogeneity of the English financial sublanguage (the noun set is 58.9%, the adjective set is 30.3%, and the verb one correspondingly is 10.8%). It has been determined that the terminologically nominative potential of a commonly used verb within the financial terminology system is expressed in the conceptual relation of a special process, a state or action characterizing the realities of the financial sphere, with the terminologizated LSV (lexico-semantic variant) of this verb. The verb borrowed by sublanguage undergoes qualitative changes in its semantic structure: on the basis of its lexico-semantic variant a new terminologizated LSV is being developed, which nominates the newly created concept about a special process, state or action of the financial industry. The authors specified that newly created terminological meaning of the commonly used verb develops as a result of its use in another functional style, within which this verb acquires a new tint of meaning, which is subsequently formalized in a new terminologizated lexicosemantic variant. The result of the semantic analysis of English professional literature on financial business confirmed the declared thesis that the terminologically nominative potential of commonly used verbs within the investigated term system is realized through the development of its own semantic structure. It has been proved that systemic connections between underlying verbs and their derivative noun terms are indicative of the terminologically nominative potential of the verb system of the English financial terminology . It is provided also that the terminologizated verb of the general literary language, narrowing and concretizing its semantics, acquires in the texts of the investigated sublanguage a special meaning different from that commonly used one in which it exists in other vocabulary.)
