Анотація

У статті досліджуються особливості омонімії та полісемії в сучасному економічному англомовному дискурсі. Вивчається явище омонімії в межах даної тематики та омонімічний зв’язок з іншими тематичними шарами лексики. Омонімія розглядається як на лексичному, так і морфемному рівнях. Здійснюється аналіз полісемантичних слів в контексті конверсії.
(The article deals with the research of homonymу and polysemy in the modern economic English discourse. The terms of homonymу and
polysemy are defined. The study of economic discourse in different languages and the phenomenon of homonymу and polysemy is highlighted. The classifications of homonyms given by different scientists are examined. Homonyms in the economic English discourse are grouped depending on peculiarities of their usage. Absolute and partial homonyms are stressed. Homonyms represented by compound words are considered. Homophones of the economic discourse that have their equivalents in other thematic layers are analyzed. Homonymy is studied within the given subject and in connection with other thematic lexical layers. Homonymy is considered both on lexical and morphemic levels. Polysemantic words are analyzed in the context of conversion. In addition, polysemy is observed as lexicalization of the plural. It is concluded that homonymy and polysemy based on terminologisation and metaphorization are typical for the modern economic English discourse and ensure its further development.)
