Анотація

У статті розглядаються особливості репрезентації зорового сприйняття простору лексичними засобами давньогрецької мови, зокрема іменниками й прикметниками. Акцентується увага на властивій давнім грекам матеріально-чуттєвій оцінці довкілля, геометричності й тривимірності мислення, значній гостроті зору. Специфіка зорового сприйняття просторових об’єктів та їх ознак репрезентована в розгорнутій системі іменників та прикметників.
(The article represents special features of representation of visual perception of space with lexical means in Ancient Greek. The tasks of the modern linguistics are not only in description of language phenomena, but also in solving the problem of the way the world reflects in the people’s conscious. To be implemented in a particular language form a phenomenon should be realized by a person, interpreted in light of his/her individual picture of the world, as well as in socio-cultural, historical context of native speakers. The concept of space is an important component of any individual’s picture of the world, as it is an absolute attribute of matter. In the article there is an emphasis on the specific for Ancient Greeks substantial and sensual way of the world perception, geometrical character of cognition, acuity of vision. All these features have their representation in special language means. The concept of space on the logical level was realized in different groups of lexemes, particularly in the system of nouns and adjectives. Fulfilled analysis of lexico-semantic groups of nouns and adjectives of spatial semantics gave a possibility to identify peculiar features of space concept sphere in lexical system of Ancient Greek. Organization as well as the content of particular lexico-semantic groups demonstrates integration of universal principles with ethno-specific perception and assessment of space.)
