Анотація

У статті розглядається лінгвокультурна специфіка концепту НАЦІОНАЛЬНА ІДЕНТИЧНІСТЬ на прикладі використання етнонімів та етнофобізмів на позначення представників «ЧУЖОГО» та етнонімів на позначення представника американської нації. Автор подає лінгвокультурні концепції визначення американської національної ідентичності у їхній діахронії.
(The article studies linguo-cultural specific of the concept «NATIONAL IDENTITY» through examples of ethnonyms and ethnofobysms to denote «ALIEN» and only ethnonyms to denote a representative of the American nation. The author provides linguo-cultural concepts of the US national identity in their development. Among the ways of reflecting national identity one can name the employment of neutral and negative evaluative elements to name «ALIEN». Normative nomination of other nation representatives are common and widely-accepted ethonyms which are usually opposed to unofficial names. The titles that the representatives of one nation use to denote the representatives of another nation are pejorative and ethnophobyc. Ehnophobysms are coined with the help of different word-building models such as: shortenings, morphological telescopic transformations, application of proper names to denote the whole ethnos, metonymy and metaphor. The element «OWN» is conveyed through neutral and positive lexical units and phrases. The above-mentioned element includes a subgroup «OTHER OWN» that describes illegal immigrants.)
