Анотація

У статті аналізується найвідоміший з творів німецькомовної мазепіани ХІХ століття – історична трагедія Р. Готтшаля «Мазепа» та її український переклад, виконаний Ю. Федьковичем. Увага акцентується на проблемі інтерпретації реалій та ідіом як на основних критеріях адекватності перекладу.
(The article analyzes the most famous of the German-language Mazepa-works of the 19th century, R. Gottshall’s tragedy «Mazepa» and its Ukrainian translation of Y. Fedkovych. Based on the main criteria of accuracy of translation, the Ukrainian-language interpretation of R. von Gottshall’s historical tragedy «Mazepa» is analyzed. The attention is focused on the problem of interpretation of culture-specific concepts and idioms. The comparative analysis of German-language work with the translation of Y. Fedkovych provided an opportunity to identify common and distinctive features of the interpretation of culture-specific concepts and idioms. During the analysis of the artistic interpretation peculiarities of culture-specific concepts and idioms was revealed that the peculiarities are connected with the historical period of the work, authors’ individual artistic manner and their knowing of certain historical facts and specific items of Ukrainian and German nations. The comparison enables to say that idioms are crucial in the artistic structure of the analyzed works to make the language brightly and more expressive.)
