Анотація
Роман у віршах Ліни Костенко «Маруся Чурай» за способом художнього відображення дійсності багатовимірний. Окрім основної сюжетної лінії про долю головної героїні, у творі широко відображено історичне тло – хронотоп козаччини, коли відбуваються події, які порушують важливу й на сьогодні проблему історичної пам’яті. Тому очевидним є факт, що за змістом поетеса багато уваги приділяє змалюванню звитяги й духу українського козацтва, мимовільно акцентуючи на основних рисах лицарства, що і маємо на меті дослідити у цій статті.
(The novel in verses by Lina Kostenko «Marusya Churay» is multidimensional in terms of the artistic reflection of reality, since its historical, historiosophical, existential foundations and a high degree of artistic perfection are quite deep. The relevance of the topic for research is that it raises a very important issue for Ukrainians today – the problem of historical memory, because, in addition to the main storyline about the fate of the main heroine, the songstress Marusya Churayvna, the work widely reflects the historical background – the chronotope of the Cossacks of the Khmelnytskyi period. The purpose of this scientific investigation is to analyze Lina Kostenko's novel for the purpose of reflecting in it an equally interesting storyline – Cossack chivalry and its features, which are quite widely presented in the mentioned artistic historical canvas. Accordingly, the main tasks of the study are: to isolate in the work precisely the historical component, within which, on the example of specific heroes, we trace the signs of Cossack feat, honor, spirit, morality, etc.; to analyze the ambivalent features of the Cossack foremen; to comprehend the continuity of Cossack traditions, way of life, their ability to manifest themselves in mental features through the centuries, as we can trace today, during the Russian-Ukrainian war, emphasizing individual parallels. As a result of the research conducted on the basis of quotation material, the time-space of the Cossacks was revealed through the prism of the novel plot, heroes whose images reflected all social strata of contemporary Ukraine (Cossacks, burghers, patricians, judges, etc.). At the same time, they lso generalized the character traits inherent in the Ukrainian mentality: hetman Bohdan Khmelnytskyi and Colonel Pushkar personify moderation and wisdom; courage, uncompromisingness and devotion – Churai, Pavlyuk, Ivan skra, Lesko Cherkes. The Cossack-character, the archetype of the Wise Old Man is personified by grandfather Galernyk. The images of Hrytsky Bobrenko, Vyshnyak, and judges are seen as quite contradictory. However, all the heroes of the work are «children» of their era, in which the Cossacks as a unique Ukrainian historical and socio-cultural phenomenon are seen in their entirety. Therefore, we can conclude that the chronotope of Cossackhood is actualized in certain periods of Ukrainian history, in particular, in the modern period, when the signs of Cossack chivalry «wake up» in the genes of our warriors, who, like several centuries ago, are once again defending their land nd people. And the Cossackhood here is an example of the ourage, feats, and spirit that they inherited.)
