Анотація
Стаття присвячена епіграфу як одному з інтертекстуальних засобів, до якого звертаються сучасні українські
прозаїки. У розвідці здійснено огляд класифікацій міжтекстових зв’язків та розкрито значення епіграфа як інтертекстуального елементу, з’ясовано особливості актуалізації епіграфів у дискурсі української прози початку ХХІ століття.
(Intertextuality as a multidimensional text relation with other texts is one of the main linguistic categories studied by Ukrainian and foreign scholars. This relation is realized with the help of such means as a quotation, allusion, epigraph, reminiscence, title. The article is dedicated to the epigraph as one of the intertextual means to which modern Ukrainian writers often appeal. An epigraph is a phrase, quotation, or poem that is set at the beginning of a document or component. The epigraph may serve as a preface, as a summary, as a counter-example, or to link the work to a wider literary canon, either to invite comparison or to enlist a conventional context. The epigraph is the main type of the pretext intertextual relations expressed by a quote (marked or unmarked) or a quote with a reference. The analysis of the linguistic material shows that the
largest amount of the epigraphs found in the discourse of the modern Ukrainian prose are materialized with the help of the Ukrainian poetic and prose works. A great number of the epigraphs are verbalized by the quotes from the European prose works. The intensification of the American literature is also marked in the discourse of the modern Ukrainian prose. The epigraphs taken from the texts of the Bible function quite often in the corpus of the Ukrainian prose of the XXI century. Using the epigraphs, the sources of which are European and American texts, is the evidence of the Ukrainian culture integration into the European space and the Ukrainian reader attraction to the world intellectual space achievements.)
