Анотація
Стаття присвячена висвітленню актуальної лінгвістичної проблеми національно-культурної специфіки вираження емоцій. Досліджується культурно-зумовлений емотивний потенціал австралізмів у системі мови через установлення змісту культурно-специфічного концепту «Bush» та його реалізація в поетичних творах – австралійських літературних баладах кінця ХІХ – початку ХХІ століть.
(In this article the problem of national-cultural expression of emotions is addressed. The cognitive-semantic and communicative-pragmatic peculiarities of Australian culturally specific lexical units which perform the function of expressing emotions in Australian ballads of the end of 19th – the beginning of 21st centuries are studied. Australianisms are viewed as the lexical units verbalizing culture-specific concepts. Emotive lexical units are considered as language representations of emotive
culture-specific concepts, which are defined as mental hierarchical structures. The Emotive function of Australianisms is predetermined by cultural associations aroused by the word’s meaning, cultural concept, specific prototype of a universal concept, specific value (axiological component) of the concept. The emotive function of Australian culture-specific lexical units is studied by the integrated methods of cognitive and functional linguistic approaches. The associations of specifics of
the natural environment which actualize the inherent emotional potential of Australianisms in Australian ballads are grouped around the Australian cultural concept «Bush». This concept is viewed as a conceptual dominant of the poetic worldview of the Australian ballad. The feelings and emotions aroused by the culture-specific concept «Bush» vary from positive to negative.
Among negative emotions expressed by Australianisms are grief, rage, contempt and anxiety. The range and frequency
of positive emotions such as patriotic feelings, national pride, respect, sympathy, optimism, joy, and solidarity is presented in the notably greater number of the analyzed texts.)
