Анотація

У статті досліджено семантику та функції іронії на основі аналізу гендерної проблематики роману «Історія світу
в 10 ½ частинах» Дж. Барнза, театрального монологу «Новеченто» А. Барікко, роману «Корабель дурнів» Г. Нормін тона. Визначено особливості іронічної інтерпретації типів персонажів та гендерних стеоретипів зазначених творів.
(Semantics and functions of irony on the basis of analysis of gender problematics in novel «A History of The World in ½
Chapters» by J. Barnes, theatrical monologue «Novecento» by A. Baricco, novel «The Ship of Fools» by G. Norminton were
studied in the article. The complex of gender problematics (social roles of man and woman in the modern world, role of father/mother in the child’s life, the problem of racial inequality, devaluation of love and friendship etc) was determined.
Specifics of ironical interpretation of personages and gender stereotypes in mentioned writings (antithesis of masculine and feminine is a key for analysis of novel «A History of The World in ½ Chapters» by J. Barnes, different versions of destructions in masculine world were realized in the writings of A. Baricco and G. Norminton) were traced.
Gender approach was determined as a method of ironical destruction of «a truth» about the world and society: authors speak ironically about patriarchal society; they confirm the absurd of humankind.)
