Анотація

Стаття присвячена аналізу роману «Янгол у сірому» Н. Гуменюк крізь призму реалізації в ньому авторської варіації біблійного сюжету про Каїна та Авеля на матеріалі вітчизняної історії І пол. ХХ ст.
(The article is an attempt on analysis of novel by N. Нumenyuk «Angel in grey» in the light of implementation authorial variation of the biblical story of Cain and Abel. In the Ukrainian literature canonical story about Cain and Abel created a lot of interpretations that became an artistic research on the eternal conflict between good and evil. Projection and reincarnation images of biblical brothers that were created since the Middle Ages drew the attention to I. Franko, V. Sosiura, I. Bahrianyi, Y. Mushketyk, O. Zabuzhko, M. Matios and etc. Bible parable also became the centre of the novel plot by N. Нumenyuk «Angel in grey». The goal of this research is an analysis of biblical fratricide motif actualized on the material of national history of the 1st Half of the twentieth century.In the five stories – «Abel’s winter writing», «Angel in grey», «Lizard’s nest», «Trap for Cinderella, «Water’s memory» – author reveals the separate human’s histories. Research highlights that in the plot scheme of the novel was transformed from a biography of prototype Ananiy Dobrovolsky, who was a member of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army. Author’s intention aimed at comprehension of problems of individual freedom, moral choice, betrayal, change the world view every person in terms of totalitarian society. The problem of brother betrayal author unfolds primarily in the personal and psychological plane and emphasizes family ties providing to the parabola dramatic deployment of the relationship between Avdiy and Caliciy.)
